Rams lose to Saints 45-35 A Few Thoughts

The Rams are still the class of the N.F. C. despite the 45-35 loss to the Saints I picked the saints as a dark horse in the NFC this year. can they play defense the Jury is still out. The rams came back from a 35-17 halftime  deficit. The Rams astill winning the division the NFc West by 4 games over the Seahawks 25-17. Marcus Peters the free agent out of Kansas city got torched as  Thomas caught 12 passes for 211 Yard including the Game winner a 72 yard TD Catch. The   absence of CB  Talib hut the Rams. The first  half defense was very bad for the Rams The rams next 2 games are against the Seattle  Seahawks and Patrick Mahomes in Mexico city. The Rams simply did not defend well in the first half of this game. thus you see almost 1000 yards of Total offense DC Wade Phillips has over 40 years of coaching  expertise but Alvin Kamara running for 116 yards and a reception Td is still cause for concern  This is similar to last year as the Rams gave up a good share of running Yards in the middle of the field. Despite top of the league offensive numbers the rams rank 21st defensively.  This was a good measuring Stick for the Rams but it also may mean a playoff game in January outside Los Angeles this is not what the Ram faithful are looking for come playoff time. With 7 games left the Rams still hold the 1 seed in the NFC. The Saints hold the  2nd seed.  January will tell the playoff story but at least the Rams know where the stand in the race for the NFC Championship
